Turn your eyes from the mirror it was never about you
Dance or joy
You have been given life
Why do you choose to suffer when your home is peace?
You are locked up and steeped in
Righteous sacrificial solitude
You choose to sit before pitying disappointed eyes.
You pay back His goodness in penitential hours
He never asked for sloth
He begged you
Showed you
Entreated you beyond your walls
Yet still you sit
You stew
Get twisted up and turned in His name
He watches
Tears up
Shakes His divine inhumanity
but does not turn his face away.
So forgive me if I scream a little.
