your poetry reads like:

   [bongo beat]
walk on tree tops when
   [sharp look to the right]
insistent lumberjacks with
[shake wind chimes - to underscore next line]
saccharine smelling
   [dramatic pause]
hacksaws [casual pause] push
   [wind chime twirl dance]
yesterday's idols into the sea
   [bongo beat] [dramatic pause]
our souls for plastic continents
   [extended dramatic pause]
universal child of greed and gluttony and
   [three bongo beats]
cold feet
   [stand up and remove shoes]
open yourself to the depths
   [step forward shaking wind chimes]
unity in chaos means
   [slow look to the left]
like clothes and opinions
   [bongo beat]
don't knock uniformity it wrote these words
   [lingering bongo beat]
sing me a new song
   [slight pause]
enhance it with harmonies and sub melodies
[shake wind chimes while starting a slow understated bongo beat to underscore the next words]
eventually crescend to a climax
   [gaining louder irregular beats]
yellow suns should collide between the notes
   [start swaying]
oceans should rage and galaxies sweat
   [start jumping as you sway]
untold millions will join the throng
[bongo beat followed by absolute silence]
rivers will drain to creeks who barley  tickle stones
   [wind chime]
street lights mimic stars and
   [whispering the next bit]
even you
   [bongo beat]
leave
[look up extend arms and sigh]
for the night
   [look at audience/mirror/cat]
